GRACE Laboratories, LLC, is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The company was founded in November 2003 and is based on more than 14 years of research and development and laboratory service experience in the areas of blood assays for diagnosis of brain-related seizures and epilepsy.

GRACE Laboratories, LLC, works in cooperation with Emory University, DeKalb Medical Center, and the State University of New York.

Management Team

Robert R. Rhinehart, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Rhinehart leads the company with a small and effective management team. He is President of RRR Financial, Inc. and Rhinehart Capital Management. In 1999 Mr. Rhinehart retired after 31 years from Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner and Smith as a First Vice President. He holds a certificate as a Certified Investment Management Analyst from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Program of the Investment Management Consultants Association and is a former member of the New York Stock Exchange Board of Arbitrators and a retired Certified Financial Planner.

Scientific Consultants

Patricia Needle, B.A., M.Ed., Ph.D.
Dr. Needle was Coordinator, China Center, University of Minnesota (1979-1986) and Director, China Center (1986-1992), of the University’s Exchange Program with the People’s Republic of China (the largest program in the U.S.). In 1992, she became International Program Officer/Social Science Analyst at the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), a division of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Needle was Acting Director (1995-1998) and Director (1998-2000) of NIDA’s International Program. From 2001 to 2002 she was Executive Director, Conference Secretariat, XIV International AIDS Conference, Barcelona, Spain. In 2002, she was appointed Senior Advisor of NIDA’s Office of Science Policy and Communications. Since March 2005, Dr. Needle has been an International Consultant on HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse to NIDA since March 2005.

Business Consultants

Dr. Bobbie Bailey
A well-known medical philanthropist, Dr. Bailey is President of First Decatur Bank and member of the Kennesaw State University Foundation Board of Trustees. Recently, she donated a new PET/CT scanner for advanced diagnostic services to the DeKalb Medical Center Foundation.




Baron Barnes, CPA
Mr. Barnes is highly qualified in business consulting and financing as well as corporate, partnership, and individual income tax planning. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA.

Cathryn Cambria, B.A., M.S.,
GMP/FDA Consultant
Through extensive experience and continued contact with different branches of the FDA, Ms. Cambria has completed multiple filings with shortened approval times in premarket approval (PMA) supplements and real-time reviews for electronic medical devices to the FDA, along with 510(k) submissions for Class I, II, and III medical and dental devices, including measuring instruments and equipment, implants, and over-the-counter and in vitro diagnostics.

Lya Sorano
Lya Sorano is the Chief Executive Officer of The Oliver/Sorano Group, Inc., an Atlanta marketing and PR consulting firm established in 1980. She was born, grew up, and was educated in The Netherlands, where she attended the University of Leiden, and lived in England and Scotland prior to immigrating to the United States. As a business consultant, she assists clients with business plans, marketing plans, media campaigns, communications strategies, and other market development projects. She is the founder (1992) of Atlanta Women in Business. A recent Certified Georgia Master Gardener, Ms. Sorano is the gardening columnist for the Barrow-Jackson Journal.

Clark Sullivan, Ch.E., J.D.
Clark Sullivan is an attorney in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office, where he focuses on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property for the pharmaceutical and industrial chemicals industries. He counsels corporations, universities, and emerging technology companies on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on strategic patent counseling, patent enforcement, and patent defense. Mr. Sullivan received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1987, and has performed postgraduate coursework in molecular biology at Georgia State University. He obtained his law degree from Georgia State University, magma cum laude, in 1991. Mr. Sullivan serves as an ex officio member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, and recently served on the Executive Committee for the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
